Per handwritten note on back; paraphrase of caption of photo: "Ronald Reagan visited Healdsburg. Left Tribune office and came face to face with rattlesnake - 48" long, 14 rattles. Dead. Stan Vannucci had killed it with help of Tom Butts at Armstrong Grove."
