Story on back: COLLEGE WINNERS Norman Ray Jr. (left) of Healdsburg and Kay Haskell of Santa Rosa, students at Santa Rosa Junior College, receive $100 cash awards from Bank of America Vice President Lawrence D. Pritchard after winning top honors at the local college under the bank's fourth annual Junior College Business Awards Program. The awards were presented April 28 at a banquet in the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco honoring 55 winners from 30 junior colleges in northern and central California. Purpose of the awards program is to encourage students preparing for business careers. Top students are selected by faculty members on the basis of scholastic attainments, personality and extra-curricular employment or activities., May 1960 |
