Canoe trip on Russian river, October 1961 Per newspaper article affixed to rear of photo: "It was a beautiful day for a canoe trip: 48 members of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity House, University of California, Berkeley and their dates enjoyed a trip down the Russian river to Guerneville on Sunday. The students arrived at Memorial Beach about 11 a.m. by chartered bus and by noon were on their way down the river. The canoes were loaned to the U. C. students by W. C. Trowbridge, Memorial Beach concessionaire. The above photo shows a few of the canoes taking off from just below the Dam area." |
