Flood Control Committee Inspection, July 1957 Three related photos (2005.01.297, .298, .299) with newspaper article on back of .298: "Tour of Inspection of Alexander Valley and Cloverdale farmlands was held Tuesday by members of the Upper Russian River Flood Control Committee. Top photo (.297), Henry Dick, right, discusses problems of river channel on his property, with left, Reuben Johnson, Chief of Planning and Reports, Corps of Engineers, Oswald Pietsch, civil engineer, Gordon Miller, County Engineer, and B. W. Steindorf. Center photo [.298] shows the two representatives from the Corps of Engineers with Harlan Remmel, chairman of the Upper Russian River Flood Control Committee. In the bottom photo [.299] the group is inspecting the orchard land being eroded on the Byron Lampson property." |
