St. John's Mardi Gras Party, costumed participants, 1956 Per newspaper clipping affixed to back of photo: "Mardi Gras Winners: St. John's YMI sponsored Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball and Carnival, held Saturday night at St. John's Hall, was deemed a wonderful success with the revelers enjoying dancing, refreshments and the unusual costumes. After the grand march, the top winners for their costumes were picked. First prize went to Angelo Catelani and Virginia Coffey, extreme left, second prize to Mr. & Mrs. Louis Lange and third prize to Edward Bellero and Bonnie Doyle. Larry Vasconi and Patty Giovannoni, St. John's School students, reigned as king and queen during the mardi gras. Judges were Gridley Clement and Frank Gromo."
