Home grown avocados, December 5, 1957 Per newspaper article affixed to back of photo: "Healdsburg Gown Avocados: Fred Tonelli, left, produce man for Biasotti market, inspected on of the Fuerte variety avocados grown by Ralph Honor, right, on his Mill Creek ranch. The raising of avocados is unusual for the Healdsburg area and the home grown products are on sale at Biasotti Bros. Market. Honor's avocado trees which are fifteen years old are in a protected area in a prune orchard and have been bearing fruit for the past six years. Each year, the trees produce more fruit, and this is the first year he has been able to supply the local market. The avocado cannot stand extreme cold temperatures."
