Ormsby & Downing's Photo Tent in Grass Valley, Nevada Co., CA, October 4, 1894 This is a set of 210 photographs taken by J. H. Downing between 1872 and 1882. Some of the photographs are stereographs and some are not. The originals of these photographs appear in the album 2012.02.301. Previously, many, but not all, of the photos in the album had been catalogued and recorded in PastPerfect (under a variety of Accession/Object ID numbers). The photographs in the album were taken by J. H. Downing or his staff from the studio. A full listing of Object ID and descriptions of all 375 photos is included in the box with the album. This photo corresponds to photo #343 in the album. Upon inventroy January 2019, the print of this image could not be found in the 2014.01 folder in the 2G section. However, print exists in the album 2012.02.031. HomeLoc for this record shows the location of the album itself, 3A4. |
