"Russian River supplies raw materials for huge Basalt Plant operations here", August 1965 Newspaper article affixed to rear of photo: "Screening Plant - Part of mechanism which screens the raw sand and gravel into various sizes at the Basalt facility here is shown, with conveyors leading to and from surrounding piles of material. Twenty-five different sizes and grades of rocks and sand are produced during the year-round operation. Constant maintenance is needed to keep the machine in top running condition." |
