Muffy Brady of Asti wins Queen of Industry title, November 1956 Per attached letter: from the Sonoma County Council of the American Legion , dated November 19, 1956. "Gentlemen: Enclosed please find picture of her Majesty, Queen of Industry, Muffy Brady of Italian Swiss Colony Wine in Asti, receiving her crown and trophy from Leo Crawford, California State Department Commander, American Legion. Award was made at Coronation Ball on Saturday night, November 17th at the Veterans Memorial Building in Santa Rosa. Muffy amassed a total of 76,350 votes in the contest throughout the county and she chose for her award, the trip to Honolulu for herself and her husband, Tex Brady. Plaque for the Queen's sponsor was received by Mrs. Joe Coppo for the Italian Swiss Colony Wine Co. -30- Arnold, thanks so much for your excellent coverage of our program.
