Improvements at Basalt Rock, September 22, 1966 Per newspaper article: "Looking Ahead - As part of long-range plans to improve the efficiency of its local plant, Basalt Rock has installed four towers, each 74 feet high, as supports for a proposed overhead conveyor and belt. The installation will be for raw material storage, reclaiming and surge piles for the main plant from which Basalt distributes gravel and sand for construction work throughout the Redwood Empire, as well as Solano County to the east." |
