Boaters and swimmers at Memorial Beach, September 1956 Per newspaper article affixed to rear of photo: "Ski Exhibition - Healdsburg Boat Club's exhibition of water skiing Sunday packed Memorial Beach, stopping even the swimmers for the two and a quarter hours of novelty water acts. Some 25 different events were staged. Club officials say that public interest was sufficient to make the exhibition an annual event and plans are already underway for a bigger and better show for 1957." |
