Opening day at Fitch Mtn. Elementary, 1961 Per newspaper article affixed to rear of photo: "It was a happy classroom, with nary a tear, for the members of the morning kindergarten class at the Fitch Mountain School. The scrubbed and very nicely dressed youngsters seemed to enjoy their first day at school on Monday and all seemed to adjust quite readily. the class enjoyed a song session, grouped near the kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Virginia Arthur Beeman."
