Six people at new 1st Battalion sign in Plaza, c 1952-54 Per newspaper articlle with photo: "New Sign: Members of the First Battalion Committee stand under the new sign which was erected last week on the southwest corner of the Plaza Square. Left to right are, Mrs. Grace Stewart, Mrs. Nercilla Harlan, Earl Osborn, Smith robinson, chairman, Mrs. Adeline York and Mrs. Mildred Walker. The sign, 10 feet high and 11 feet wide, was placed in the Plaza by the city superintendent's office. It was executed by Louis Galeazzi, local artist. The sign was paid for out of funds sent by the First Battalion members in Korea to the First Battalion Committee here over the last two years."
